90% of all the Les Miserables fanon that developed between the first time I drifted out of the fandom and now

ill-conceived graphs that purport to explain the increasingly numerous, fine-grained, and hard-to-pronounce sexual orientations that tumblrites make up to avoid admitting they have anything in common with anyone who does anything heteronormative or "homonormative"

"homonormative"-- Okay, I'd accept this one if it were used in the context of discussing Elanor Arnason's SF stories set among a species in which the males and females are so different that everybody decided the easiest way to keep things peaceful would be to make all subsequent generations 80+ % gay. Sadly, people try to apply it to other human beings who exist in real life.

sorting female characters into "masculine" and "feminine" categories as if those words had consistent, cross-cultural and pan-temporal meanings

I'm with you on Homestuck. Can you block the tags, or simply take people off your 'following' list and replace them with accounts of nothing but pictures of cups of coffee?

Oooh, I forgot to add "2nd/3rd/Xth generation geeks." Because if you mom wrote for a Kirk/Spock zine before that became socially acceptable, that means you have more right to cosplay, write fanfic, read science fiction, and play D&D than some other person whose family made them feel like a freak for having "weird" interests.

They normalize rape threats as "part of the convention experience" for My Little Pony conventions. I can never let that go.

If the bronies who aren't like that put as much energy into calling out the ones who are like that as they put into responding to others' concerns with defensiveness and denial, we wouldn't even need to have this conversation.

Exactly! There's a reason why people don't want to associate with that particular group even if they do like the new MLP! Like I've been seeing people say "Well instead of calling all of us asshole why don't you do something about the things you don't like!" and it's like "WE DO, BUT WE GET IGNORED AT BEST AND TOLD TO JUST PUT UP WITH IT AT WORST!"

Women and girls reported some dudes at an all-ages My Little Pony con to con staff for wearing shirts that said "Join us or get raped," and the con organizers told them that was just "part of the con experience." I keep repeating that not because it's the only example but because it's such an extreme one that it sort of encompasses the million other examples of BS that had to take place first to move the Overton window for My Little Pony so far to the "misogynist cesspit" side in order for that to become a real thing that happened.
