If I could put a moratorium on any single fictional trope but only one, I'd put one on romance blossoming between any woman and the man who spends any significant length of time trying to kill, threatening to kill, or planning to kill her. Well, I wouldn't want this happening with characters of any sex/gender combination, but "potential murder victim (female) wins over the man who might otherwise have killed her" seems to be A Thing in certain genres in a way that the other potential options are not.
