Surprisingly awake for a Sunday afternoon
Jan. 16th, 2011 04:57 pmI finished Catching Fire today. That's probably why I'm so awake-- no way can I nap after that! It wasn't quite as emotionally shattering as the first book, but that's still saying a lot. I'm internally debating whether I want to read Mockingjay soon or give myself a chance to get my equilibrium back before diving back in. I still stand by my statement: I want the amazing AU adventures of Katniss, Rue, and the fox-faced girl from the first book, and this time I want to add Wiress to the team, plus Mags and Seeder as their mentors who teach them how to do whatever awesome missions they do in this other universe.
I'm trying to revive activity in Canon Queer today. ^_^
I got to the library and picked up some more new-to-me books, including The Birthday of the World and Other Stories, which I've been trying to find a copy of for more than a year. (I'm pretending that LeGuin's recent comments on The Tempest don't exist.) I'm going to read some grown-up books this week, LOL!
