I saw the trailer for the Hunger Games movie. Not gonna lie, I cried. Whatever else might go wrong, the trailer was done right. I still wish they'd cast multiracial actors as Katniss, Gale, and Haymitch, and as the Seam people generally, though.
After all the race fail in the fandom, I was delighted to find this bit of pure silliness in comments about the movie promos: someone doesn't like the way Movie Haymitch looks, not because he's too pale and blond, but because his hairstyle looks "dodgy." I got a guilt-free "Did you really read the books?" chuckle out of that because I'm pretty sure that Haymitch should have dodgy hair. He's a character who has been self-medicating his PTSD with moonshine for twenty-five years because no better alternative is available to him. I'm thinking the dodgy hair was a deliberate choice.
