I'm packing up my stuff to travel to one of the universities I applied to for grad school! I have a meeting with a potential adviser scheduled for Monday morning. I've already looked at maps and reserved my hotel room. My mom wants me to rent a car because mine is old to be going on such a long trip, but I don't think I'll make it back in time to return it on Monday, and I don't want to miss any more work than I have to, plus I'd have to park my car somewhere while I'm away . . . yeah, I think I'm going run down the trade-in value of my car some more. To do this rental thing, I'd have had to start planning it before I got the request to come over for a meeting. Besides, I want to save my money for a trip to visit my mother in the summer. She worries too much, and I say that as someone with my own anxiety issues.
